Sales manager

We are for our costumer looking for ambitious and dedicated Sales Managers to join their EMEA sales team. They have strong global brands, and are looking for Sales Managers who can continue the work of strengthening and developing these brands within their region.


Tasks and responsibilities

In this newly created role you will be reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director - EMEA, and become part of a dynamic sales team who manages the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Your primary responsibility will be growing their brands and business within selected EMEA markets. It will be your responsibility to identify opportunities and develop plans to generate profitable business and sustainable growth within the markets.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Achieve all relevant KPIs (sales targets, volume, profits, etc.)
  • Determine optimal distribution set up and guidelines, and monitor performance
  • Evaluate and activate new distribution channels
  • Manage and develop relationships with local partners to maximize market share and growth of the brands
  • Monitor and report relevant market intelligence
  • Partner with marketing team on consumer and shopper insights


Key Competencies

We would expect the successful candidate to possess the ability to work independently in a growth environment. This position involves selling & building brands, so you should have an impactful profile, good interpersonal skills and you will be pro-active and motivated to grow and expand our brands. It is important that you have:

  • Experience in similar sales roles, managing customers, preferably within Germany and Eastern Europe
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Effective time management skills, able to work independently and pro-actively
  • Ability to influence & negotiate at store level
  • Ability to build customer relationships
  • Good computer literacy
  • Ability to speak English effortlessly, and German is advantageous
  • Ability to create new and cultivate existing relationships
  • Interact positively at all organizational levels and in different cultural environments
  • A dynamic and strong character and an open, trustworthy positive approach to the daily challenges


Professional competences

Preferably, you have at least 5 years in an FMCG sales environment. A Bachelor degree is essential and previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
