Head of Engineering & Plant Design - EnviroTech

As MAKEEN Energy’s newest business segment, EnviroTech focusses on technologies aimed at recycling of plastics and composites with the purpose of making ingredients available for reuse.

The EnviroTech team is located at MAKEEN Energy’s headquarters in Randers (Denmark) and employs some 50 highly specialized engineers with decades of experience.

Plastcon is a plastics waste conversion technology and because EnviroTech has “cracked the code” and secured funding for the first full-scale plant, a tremendous growth is being experienced. Plastcon is seen as the next big chapter and a huge interest is experienced from investors and the industry. As a natural consequence, EnviroTech is preparing for and already undertaking a rapid scale-up of our capacities.

Decom is a developing technology-project dealing with commercializing wind turbine blade recycling.       

Areas of responsibility

As Head of Engineering & Plant Design you will get to manage a department with some 50 highly skilled professionals within a range of engineering competences (mechanical, electrical, piping and control systems).

Initial key issues are to organize, manage the team, structure and streamline work approach, establish and standardize methodologies and modularization and hereby aiming for a supreme quality in all performance parameters.

You will have a strong support from both your skilled engineering team as well as colleagues at management level and the executive team.

Areas of influence and responsibility will include:

• Management of the EnviroTech Engineering & Plant Design department
• Technological management including overall responsibility for mechanical engineering design standards as well as methodologies for project engineering
• Organization and people management
• EnviroTech management team member
• In all areas of performance, establish and maintain an adapted and meaningful level of structure, design policies, standardization, modularization, documentation and quality
• P/L accounts
• Establishing meaningful KPI’s
• Tracking and reporting
• Alignment with contractual agreements
• Maintain a continuous successful level of communications and coordination with all stakeholders
• Utilization of various relevant IT-tools including ERP

Level of expected business travel is minor however likely.

Professional qualifications

• Substantial level, likely 12+ years, of documented relevant experience with customized multi- technological process plants
• Relevant managerial- and technological experience
• Relevant education – likely you hold a bachelor- or master’s degree in Mech. Engineering
• Experienced IT user
• You have a high level of proficiency in Danish and English languages
